With more than one billion people still lacking access to an all-weather road, the urgent need for missionary aviators who deliver the gospel to the ends of the earth continues to grow. Missionaries using the tools of aviation break down barriers and serve as the primary supply line to enable critical work in global missions and humanitarian relief.
God has called Moody Aviation to train and equip the next generation of missionary aviators. Since 1946, our aviation graduates have served with over 110 mission organizations in more than 60 countries. However, most prospective aviation students lack the financial resources to complete the required training for serving in this highly specialized ministry.
Moody Aviation depends on faithful partners like you to supply the critical funding for student training. Please consider supporting future mission aviators in one or more of these vital areas:
Moody Aviation’s greatest resource is the amazing team of Christ followers that God has called to serve and invest in the next generation of missionary aviators. In this inflationary economy, your giving to Moody Aviation’s operations budget allows this team to sacrificially invest their lives in the work of the Great Commission.
Your support provides important funds for staff and faculty, utilities, facility maintenance, aircraft insurance, and administrative program support. Operational gifts also help us minimize the training costs that are passed to students, which is essential for the stability of our program.
Support Critical Moody Aviation Needs
This grant provides financial assistance to students currently studying to take the good news of Christ around the world through missionary aviation. Our goal is to award $1.5 million annually through this fund, and 100 percent of each gift is awarded to eligible aviation students.
Grant recipients must be in good academic and disciplinary standing and demonstrate a proven financial need. No student repayment of the award is required.

A FLAPS loan assists qualified mission aviation students in training for the mission field. Loan repayment begins two years following completion of training, but monthly payments are “forgiven” for as long as the candidate is serving full time with an approved faith-based mission.
In addition to a normal financial aid application, students must meet additional eligibility requirements, such as building a prayer partner team and writing prayer letters. Your entire gift designated to FLAPS is awarded to eligible aviation students.

Do you desire to assist students through the FLAPS program—but would like the principal of your support to become part of an endowment? You can do this by designating that your gift is added to our Go Therefore FLAPS Endowment.
Guidelines for repayment or forgiveness are the same as the regular FLAPS program. By giving, you will be part of a team of faithful partners helping us raise $2 million in investment income each year that we can provide to our missionary aviators in training.

Established in partnership between Moody and generous donors, this endowed scholarship provides crucial financial assistance to Moody Aviation students. The entirety of each gift is applied to the fund's principal and remains intact, while the investment income is then awarded to deserving students, allowing this scholarship to continue awarding in perpetuity. No repayment of the award is required.
If you wish to sponsor a named endowed scholarship, which may include alternate eligibility requirements, please contact the Moody Aviation stewardship team at Curtis.Wilson@moody.edu. A minimum gift of $25,000 is required so the investment principal can generate enough interest income to award annually.
