Chicago Student Life
At the heart of the Moody, college experiences are the events and activities that happen between classes—community activities, on-campus and off-campus living, sports and other extracurriculars. Here are some of the student life opportunities for all attendees of Moody Bible Institute and Moody Theological Seminary's Chicago campus.
On-Campus Residence Life
Moody offers on-campus residential students a choice of three residence halls, each with its own unique community.
Commuter / Off-Campus Students
Moody students commute in from all over the city and have access to many of the commodities and services we offer to on-campus residential students. While you live-off campus and pay tuition per credit hour, you still get the benefits of on-campus life and community!
Student Programs
The Office of Student Programs advises student organizations and councils in the areas of leadership, budgeting, planning, and the facilitation of campus-wide events. They also facilitate on-campus student groups and hangout spaces like ASC 2 and the Game Room!
Student Groups
Moody student organizations exist to edify and mature the student body, honing students' gifts and broadening their knowledge of the world. Each of Moody's 40 student organizations has a specific focus: cultural, leadership, music and theater, service, support and more.
Intramural Sports
Students can participate in intramural sports based on resident halls. Get your floor and bro-sis spirit on as you compete in sports like ultimate frisbee, soccer, volleyball, and more!
Music Ensembles
Join one of Moody's music ensembles: Moody Campus Orchestra, Moody Chorale, Gospel Choir and the Worship Collectives. All students are welcome to grow their skills as a musician in a tight-knit community of creatives!
International Students
Moody boasts a large international student population with many students from more than 50 countries and six continents!
Spiritual Enrichment
Weekly chapels, annual conferences and special events are available to all MBI and MTS students.
