Bachelor of Arts in Crisis and Trauma Care

Gain biblical training to effectively care for those in crisis and suffering from trauma

This 120-credit course provides you with specialized training in crisis and trauma care for serving in pastoral ministry, humanitarian aid organizations, community services, or mental health facilities. You’ll also receive detailed training that allows you to minister with confidence to hurting individuals and families. You’ll learn to care for people of diverse ages, abilities, and cultural backgrounds who are in crisis or recovering from trauma using biblically sound principles from God's Word. This certificate program is available at our downtown campus.

If you complete this program you can apply for certification as a Traumatic Stress Specialist with the Association for Traumatic Stress Specialists (ATSS). A membership with ATSS offers an opportunity to gain federal professional recognition within a trauma specialty, and the association recognizes the experience, knowledge, skill, education, and training you will receive in our program. Now more than ever, current events, including natural disasters, acts of mass violence, and terrorism, require the support of trauma specialists who have demonstrated appropriate care and outreach to traumatized populations.
