REQUEST STUDENT VOLUNTEER

Moody Bible Institute's Practical Christian Ministry is a curricular requirement for each student every semester.

Acceptance of this agency application is based upon the following criteria:

  • Opportunity for students to share their faith
  • A program that meets once weekly
  • Approximately 2–3 hours of ministry
  • A supervisor available on-site
  • Proximity to Moody Bible Institute

Please submit one application for each PCM volunteer opportunity/program.

*This is the person to whom the student is accountable; who will evaluate the student's performance, provide feedback, and potentially mentor or guide the student. 

3. What is the program or area of ministry for which you are requesting students (e.g. youth ministry, tutoring, Sunday school)?

*Please submit a new form for each additional program or area of ministry.

4. Please provide the specific ministry location (if different from church/agency information above).

5. Please describe the students' specific responsibilities.

*The student must be involved in ministry, including at least one of the following:

  • the opportunity to share one’s faith
  • exercise spiritual gifts
  • motivate (lead) others in ministry
  • mentor fellow believers

6. Meeting Day(s) and Time

*A ministry opportunity must coincide with MBI’s academic calendar, taking place once a week (same day and time) for each consecutive week of the semester. If you are requesting students for more than one day of the same program, please check multiple days above.

Meeting Day(s)

PCM Supervisors are required to:

  1. Supervise the student’s ministry activity.
  2. Provide feedback to the student as appropriate.
  3. Complete a mid-semester evaluation form.

PLEASE NOTE:  Submitting this application does not guarantee that students will be available for your church or agency. If this application is approved and students are available, our office will contact you with a list of student(s) at the start of the semester.
