    Professor McCracken began his study of aviation at age 19, pursuing his private pilot's license. He then used that license both formally and informally as an instructor during his two decades of military service. He has completed multiple aviation-related courses including aviation maintenance, aviation safety, and formal instructor courses.

    Professor McCracken is a husband and father who loves exploring the outdoors. He enjoys coaching his children's athletic teams and coming alongside them in their hobbies.
