    Prior to joining the faculty of Moody Bible Institute, Dr. Monkemeier was a lead pastor and teacher in East Asia. He remains interested in the intersection of academic study of the Bible, local ministry of the church, and global theological education. His research interests include Pauline literature and theology, the use of the Old Testament in the New, and hermeneutics and theology of Scripture.
